SUBWAYS. Most of my subway paintings are directly from small drawings done inside the New York City Subway system. These include the subway tracts, subway trains, subway cars, subway stations, subway tunnels, subway token booths,  and subway riders. These drawings span from 1971 when I moved there as an art student, through 2010 when I moved out. The MTA subway is the largest and most amazing subway system in the world.
